  1. Defence PSU Bharat Electronics made Akash inducted into Indian Air Force.
  2. BEL, the nodal agency and supplies major sub-systems, today at a ceremony held at Air Force Station, Gwalior, handed over the missile system.
  3. Akash is a great success story of the ‘Make in India’ initiative and Bharat Electronics Limited is proud to be a part of it. Barring a few electronic components, every bit of Akash has the ‘Made in India’ tag. Almost 92 per cent of the total cost of inputs is sourced within India.
  4. The induction of Akash into the Indian Air Force was marked by the symbolic handing over of the ‘key’ of the weapon system by S K Sharma, Chairman and Managing Director, BEL, to the Defence Minister, Manohar Parrikar, who in turn handed over the key to Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha, Chief of the Air Staff. S Christopher, Director General, DRDO, was present. The ceremony was also attended by senior dignitaries of the Ministry of Defence, Indian Air Force, DRDO and Defence PSUs.

Bhoomi Pujan of Seagull Printers.

The Bhoomi Pujan of a new venture by the Seagull Publishers, named Seagull Printers was done on 8th March 2017. The employees of the Kriti Group were present on the occasion. The venue was adjacent to the Kriti Printers and Publishers at Devri Rukhara (Bakshi Ka Talab, Lucknow).The directors of the Group, Mr Arvind Singh and Mr. Himanshu Singh and his family were a part of the havan. After the rituals were complete, the employees took a stroll of the existing state of the art Kriti printing press and also captured their memories by clicking pictures in the luscious garden inside the premises. Refreshments and lunch was also organized for one and all.

Inauguration

The head office of the company at Lucknow was inaugurated in a simple yet impressive ceremony. The office premises were decorated with flowers and streamers that enhanced the radiance of the fresh paint.

The directors and senior management staff participated in an inaugural ‘havan’ performed in the Vedic style.

A short video was displayed highlighting the contributions of an erstwhile promoter whose birthday June 1, was chosen as the auspicious day for the launch of the new company.

Several guests, from the education industry and services complimented the promoters and managers of Seagull on its launching and showered their good wishes.

The function closed with a high tea wherein the guests and staff shared their thoughts and feelings and informally interacted in light vein.
